Galicia
In Vigo I was put up and given the luxury of a shower and wifi. Besides Vigo nightlife, I was also shown the wonders of Baiona. At La Lanzada a beach nearby I met a couple of local kitesurfers who helped me brave the open surf. Photos of around the Vigo estuary, Baiona (check out the amazing night club Vila Rosa) and Playa America! album

Across North Spain
I avoided the tolls and motorways and saw a lot of the country and small villages. It's obviously not unusual as I was continuously overtaken by trucks not happy with my 80km/h. Outside one small village I was sitting in the sun on my laptop eating salted cashews out of a can when an old man coming back from the woods offered me some fresh walnuts he had picked. Amazing generosity! I also crossed the camino de santiago and was sitting on my sofa while a few weary pilgrimers walked by. One particular guy was swearing and cursing out loud to himself. album

Enter Life
After a mental week trying to fit everything in the van, trying to say goodbye to everybody, operation life finally kicked off. First stop was a reggae festival in belgium as the aperitif but it really kicked in when Niels and I where parked on Brauersdam beach in Holland, kite surfing, barbequing and not going to work on monday. …kitchen…
Jörg struggled putting in the sink from Raz cos it was a bit warped and the thin work top cracked where screws are at the edges and the nontreated wood is sucking up stains. Otherwise its a good performing “galley”.

Next step: build a bed
Home is where my bed is. This was actually quite tricky, the van walls slope inwards at the side and at the back. Thanks to Pablo for the moral support and amazing sawing skills. Meanwhile work on the kitchen has started and Jörg has replaced Pablo as chief engineer. I think Pablo quit due to stress and management issues.
